We are ok

I just want to let everyone know that we are ok from the storms last night. A tornado hit about a mile north of us at 1:45 am. It was a little spooky but we are all safe.

The dreaded....

FLU!
Yes, we took Tabitha in this morning thinking it was her ears again but with the last 30 or so seconds of the 10 minute flu test it showed a positive result. Her doctor didn't even think she had the flu, running the test was just a precaution (thank goodness she did it!)
So Tabitha has had her first dose of Tamiflu, as well as me just so I don't get it. She really isn't acting bad and her fever hasn't been high since last. I think we caught it pretty early. Oh and Tabitha sucked down a small vanilla shake like there was no tomorrow!

The almost B

This story is just amazing so I have to share it...

Maddy came out of school today in tears. Sobbing in my arms she says she got a B on her report card. Her first B. She is really upset crying to me saying there is no way it is right.
Finally I tell her to go see her teacher and tell her it did not seem right.
10 minutes later she comes back laughing. Her teacher did make a mistake. Maddy made straight A's again!
I haven't seen her glow like that in a long time! I am so glad I told her to go in and ask her teacher otherwise we may have never known.

Walking Cuddles

I will just remind you that Cuddles is Abby's hamster. I had taken her out to clean the cage and Tabitha wanted to hold her than she decided to put her in the stroller and walk her outside. What a hoot!

Lucy

Lucy is doing very well here with us. She has doubled in size since we got her and she is kennel trained. We are still working on potty training but she is getting so much better. The girls really help out with her. She is such a good dog and we all just love her so much!

One of Lucy's favorite sleeping spots is in Tabitha's chair. At first Tabitha didn't think too much of this but now she just laughs at her and every once in a while she dumps her out of the chair so she can sit in it!

Happy Easter!

We had a fun and very relaxing day!
The Easter Bunny left a few surprises for the girls and he left eggs all over the backyard. They had a lot of fun finding everything than eating the candy. Maddy got a choclate bunny, a book, a wallet and new footless tights, Abby got a choclate bunny, and a snowglobe, and Tabitha got a bunch of Elmo stuff.

Tabitha was a little upset becasue the girls would not share their chocolate. That is why her nose is so red!

The CRAZIEST egg hunt EVER!

Just a bit of advice to you, if you want to take your kids to an egg hunt that is advertising 50,000 eggs...don't go! It will be complete chaos!
The girls were not very happy because of the crowds and Vinod couldn't even put Tabitha down. The fun began after the hunt when they could actually sit down and play with their eggs.

Our little writer

Abby entered a writing contest for Reading Rainbow. She was so excited. She wrote about a place she goes to in her dreams, Abbado. She wrote the story and the illustrations all by herself. Very exciting!

Straighten Up

I got a straightening iron for myself and Maddy wanted me to do her hair. We have tried this before without good results so I didn't think it would work out but it did. Maddy just loves the change and she shocked everyone at school the next day.

Straight is nice but we love that curly hair!

Playing Catch-up

What a busy week we have had! So much happening in the Joshi home! We have had some great weather to play in so the sun and a little wind occupied a lot of our time last week!
So what did we do?
Monday:
Maddy just loves Lucy. She is such a big help too. Maddy was so happy when Lucy fell asleep in her lap while she was reading a book. Maddy helps with her walks, feeding her and her naps!
Tuesday:
Tabitha is about to climb out of her crib. On the verge of falling out we quickly switched her to her toddler bed, but she is having some problems falling asleep and the freedom wasn't helping so we put her back in her crib with a watchful eye!

Thursday:

Abby has started soccer and she loves her team and her coach! She did very well at her practice and cant wait for her first game in 2 weeks!At practice Vinod and Tabitha had a conference call....

We went to the park 3 days, and took 2 walks and played with the neighbors twice. Spring is here!

Introducing

Miss Lucy Lulu

We just got her today. She is 6 weeks old and a wonderful puppy! Maddy and Abby are very excited but Tabitha is a little weary. She does say puppy and loved taking her for a walk!

Coolest play place EVER!!!

I took Tabitha to Dynamo gym to play with our friends. This is the best place ever! First of all it is soooooo clean and secondly, I can play on everything with her which makes Tabitha very very happy!

Peas Please...

...but make mine frozen!

So you all know about Tabitha craving for frozen foods, well it has increased! Now she loves frozen peas. If I am cooking and I get into the freezer she gets in the freezer and gets them and eats her Little hearts content. YUM?

Little Flamingo

Tabitha has started to out grow her baby towels so we got her this new big girl towel. Vinod talked me out of the ducky one, so instead I got the pink flamingo. Doesn't Tabitha look CUTE!

Update on the pacifier...

Well Tabitha has done so well without it. The first night was rough but tonight she went right to bed.
She has her check up at the ENT in the morning. Hopefully everything is good. She hasn't had a runny nose in over 2 weeks which also is really good news.
