The panties

When Tabitha gets up the past few mornings she has wanted panties on. I put them on for her and she runs around and plays and when it is time for us to go somewhere we put a diaper on.
This morning was a little different because she wanted her clothes on as well as her panties. This was at 8:30 and we got ready to go somewhere. The place we went had a childrens room and she went into the room (very well by the way, she only cried for a short time) we got home about noon, ate lunch and I asked her if her diaper needed changed and she said no, this is her usual response so I checked and there was no diaper!!!! She stayed dry for 3 and a half hours!!!! I put her on the potty and nothing. She washed her hands and oops....
I just cant believe she stayed dry for that long. Lucky for me though because she didn't have anything to change into besides a diaper.
Now if I can just get her to go on the potty again!

I really want to share this....

Yesterday at school Maddy's teacher pulled her aside and told her that last year she saw a sad little girl at school, not very happy and this year she seems so much happier smiling and laughing all the time"
So I am in love with her teacher this year. THANK YOU for noticing there was a problem even though you were not her teacher yet.

Road Trip!!!

This is a picture of Lucille

Here is the safe.
This is the entrance to the bank. Its also been a saloon and a hotel.

We had such a busy week with the garage sale and school starting we decided to go on a little road trip to a restaurant about an hour away called Lucille's. Its in the TINY town of Mulhall which is named after Lucille Mulhall, Oklahoma's first Cowgirl. The building was built in 1897. Its been many things but you can still see the way the bank was with the original counter top, wood floors, tin ceiling and the original safe. Very neat place to visit.
The food was very good also and they have pie yum yum.The girls had a lot of fun riding around and running around the restaurant. When we got home we were all very tired and crashed.

Garage Sale CRAZE!

Well this weekend I had a garage sale. It went really well. We made a good amount of money and got rid of a ton of stuff. There is so much more room for things in our attic yea!
Friday was super busy, that is when I sold most of my stuff. Yesterday not so busy. I think this may be the last garage sale for me at least for a while. It is so much work!
So today will be a lazy day for us.
Happy Sunday.

School is in!

The girls were so excited for school to start today. They got up, ate breakfast, got dressed and off we all went to take them. They were old pros at this sadly. They didn't even give us a hug or kiss before they they started this new adventure. Sniff sniff.
I am getting a bit choked up thinking about Maddy being in the 5th grade. I just love the girls being in the same school and this will be the last year they will be at the same school together until Maddy is a senior in high school and Abby is a freshman. Poor Tabitha, the only year she will be in the same school is when she is in kindergarten and Abby is in the 5th grade.

Everything is going so well!

Tabitha is doing so well in her toddler bed. She just loves it. After we read a few stories she gets in bed and lays down. We have to cover her up with 5 blankets (!!!!) and give her a few books to read and she is just fine. A few I love yous and we close the door to a very happy girl. She is waking up pretty early but I think that will change. When she wakes up she plays in her bed until we get her.
Today was the first day she took a nap in her bed ( she has been just playing for a while until we get her) so we thought she needed something special for this very big accomplishment. We took her to Babies R Us and with Abby's help, Tabitha picked out some pajamas. I have to laugh though, there were Dora jammies, and princess, jammies, and kitty jammies and green jammies and pink jammies with butterflies and she picked out these! Doesn't she look absolutely adorable in her Thomas jammies!

I just love her smile and hair in these pictures. She is just so darn cute!

School, Pops, and swimming.

Today the girls went to school to find out who their teachers are for the year. Abby got Mrs. Dahl. Yea! She is very happy. Maddy got Mrs. Paine and was also just as happy. She has several of her friends in the class this year which makes her very happy. Also we are so happy to report that the bully that gave Maddy such a hard time last year is NOT IN HER CLASS! THANK GOODNESS!
To celebrate all of this I took the girls to one of their favorite places to eat, Pop's. Its a gas station with a little restaurant in it and tons of bottled soda's. We had lunch and picked out soda's than we cruised on RT. 66 for a little bit taking in the sites. Then it was off to a friends house to swim. It was such fun. Its been quite a bit cooler here so the water wasn't as warm but they had just as much fun. Abby is swimming without her life jacket and Tabitha put on Abby's water wings and swam! She kicked her feet and kept her body somewhat upright. WOW! I was so surprised. Go TT!
Now TT went without another nap today because we went swimming so I think she was very ready for bed. After 8 stories and a little crying she went to sleep.

Bedtime for TT

Well I had to go back in with Tabitha and read a few more stories but she eventually went to sleep. We tried something new with her and told her the night night fairy would come and leave her a surprise if she slept in her bed. She came sometime in the night and check on TT and she was asleep in her bed so on top of one of her many blankets she had to have on her new bed, sat 3 m&m's that she quickly ate up.

Trying something new....

I have decided it is time for Tabitha to start her way into a big girl bed. In the picture above she is having a great time with "B" but right now as we speak she is crying. She didn't get a nap today so I know she is tired. Big changes for this little girl.

Yummy Cookies!

My friend Karen gave me this recipe for these cookies. She said her non veggie eating daughter ate them so I had to try them. OH THEY ARE SO GOOD! You would never know there was a veggie in there. My girls loved them too.
ZUCCHINI CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

1 cup raw grated zucchini

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup butter

1 beaten egg

2 cups flour

1 tsp. soda

1 tsp. cinnamon

1/2 tsp. cloves

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 cup chocolate chips

Mix dry ingredients then add the rest. Drop by teaspoon on a cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes.

Farmers Market

The girls and I went to the farmers market in Edmond yesterday. So many delicious looking fruits and vegtables! I like to walk around and then decide what I want to buy. I am trying to teach the girls that too. We look at everything and talk about what looked the best. Well today it the farmers must of felt very giving because out of everything that we got, we only paid for the watermelon! Maddy was checking out the tomatoes and asking lots of interesting questions so the farmer just gave them to her. Then we went by the bread and I was so sad they were out of the strawberry walnut bread that the baker gave us a loaf of banana split bread (different, tasty but different) We knew we wanted peaches and I sent the girls up with their peaches and the boys helping said oh you can have those and the zucchini man said the small ones were not selling today and gave me those. What a great shopping day for us!
So the tomatoes are gone...delish!
The bread is gone...yummy!
The honey sticks are almost gone...sticky but good!
The zucchini are going into some cookies...cant wait!
The watermelon is sooooooo good!

Turtles!

We took another trip to the turtle farm in town. The turtles are the family pets! They have over 75 of them, and they are in every size. The girls really enjoyed the Galapagos turtles. They were so large. Maddy and Abby even got to sit on them. Maddy did enjoy the kitty the most. She named him Lovey Dovey.
Tabitha did not want anything to do with the turtles and I held her the entire time.

This is XXL enjoying an apple. She is the female.
Maddy and Abby got to sit on San Diego. He is from the San Diego zoo.

Little turtles. So cute.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for Ice Cream

The MOMS club met for ice cream Friday afternoon. It was quite a yummy treat. The girls loved their mint chocolate chip ice cream. Delicious!

Tabitha is splashin...kind of.

Another trip to the splash pad, and guess what...Tabitha actually played! She didn't get that wet but she played!

After I took this picture it hit me...Tabitha walks better in flip flops than Abby does! This girl does love shoes!

Another splash pad visit.

Took the girls to the splash pad this morning. We were there for 2 hours and Tabitha decided to play the last 5 minutes we were there. I don't know why she wont play with other kids. She really gets uncomfortable she she is around a lot she doesn't know.

Oh well, I am sure she will grow out of it.

New words

Tabitha is really talking these days.
Sunday for the first time she told all of us...I LOVE YOU! Awwwwww love it!
She calls Maddy "B". Not really sure why but that is her name. She also calls her blankets B. This does get a little confusing.
She says Abby so well. She loves her Abby very much and Abby can get Tabitha to really laugh!

Most of you know about the Hey little Momma story but in case you don't, I will share it.
Abby's hip hop dance was to this song Funky Y2C (its on the blog songs) Tabitha started dancing and singing "Hey Little Momma". After the recital Tabitha found the costume and she started wearing it, signing the song and dancing. The outfit turned into her Hey Little Momma clothes that she has to wear everyday.
Today she started twirling in her outfit. I believe I have another dancer in my house.
Maybe someday I will capture this on video and share it with you all. Its too cute!

Oh and another TT funny, tonight I found an old dance leotard for her to dance in you would have though that girl got a whole bowl of candy. She was so happy she jumped!

Its so hot....

We tried to fry an egg on the side walk!
It didn't eggsactly work!
It kind of ran down the street a bit but after two hours it more or less baked the yellow and the white started to brown.

As soon as we broke the egg.....

After 2 hours.

Its been 104-106 here for 3 days. WHEW!

Slumbering?

Not really! Abby had her 7th birthday party on the 1st. She invited 5 little girls and they all made it to the party! It was so much fun having 7 little ones running around. We started with a pizza dinner than we went over to the school to play but it was pretty hot so we came home and the girls made a craft, a foam frame.

Look at this ham. I took a picture of all the girls and as you know every 7 year old has to pose. Well when I was done TT wanted her picture taken and this is her pose!

Here is Alison, Ari, Abby, Madelynn, and Samantha.
These are the best silly faces ever!

Then it was time for gifts. She got a lot of make up which all the girls used. They had a little dress up fun and had a nice runway show for me. Beautiful! Even Tabitha got a little makeup on and her favorite hey little momma outfit (really need to get her in dance!)
We got Abby this book for her birthday. Her teacher from her reading class gave her a book from the series. She loves them so much we got her the first book and Abby cant wait for the 3rd to come out in the fall. Look at the look on her face! She loves her book!
Then it was time for cake. Abby asked for a sleeping 7 cake. I have to say, not to bad! She picked out a red velvet cake. They loved it and the ice cream.
Our last activity before movie time was mani and pedis. OH MY GOSH. These girls really got into it. We had a few great color combos and lots of giggles. PRETTY.
So I got the girls down for a midnight snack (11:00) and put in a movie (Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium) and every one of those girls last through the entire movie! At 1:00 we had lights out and heads on pillows. They began to drop like flies after that.
Abby said this was her best party ever!
Happy 7th birthday Abigail!
